ABOUT: Standing Butte Ranch is located in central South Dakota and consists of 45,921 acres of natural prairie, the majority of which has been undisturbed for centuries. The landscape varies with its rolling hills, unbroken sod and deep breaks caused by several creeks and pastures comprised of native grasses.
In addition to bison, many species of wildlife roam undisturbed at Standing Butte. The ranch is home to whitetail and mule deer, prairie dogs, antelope, burrowing owls, wolves, coyotes, badgers, raccoons, skunks, porcupines, hawks, golden eagles, pheasant, sharp-tailed grouse, greater prairie chickens and a wonderful variety of ducks, geese and other birds.
HUNTS: Hunting is currently reserved exclusively for invitation-only, charitable beginner hunts meant to teach and inspire a new generation of outdoor enthusiasts and conservationists.
